SCI1130: Mechanics Spring 2019

When you find an article or eBook that you want to access, but are prevented from doing so, you have several options:

  • Confirm you are on the Olin network
  • Double check access via the library website
  • Check for access at Babson or Wellesley
  • Submit an interlibrary loan request

Accessing Library Resources Off-Campus

Accessing Library Resources off Campus

This can be done through a tool called EZ proxy. EZ Proxy is a web proxy server allowing access from outside the library’s computer network. With this technology you are able to access Olin’s databases without the use of a VPN. To access a particular database or journal, simply click on its name from the library website and when prompted, enter your Olin login and password (the same login credentials you use to log into your Olin computer).

Troubleshooting notes:

  • Make sure you're VPN is turned off
  • Access databases from the A to Z List, or this course guide, not from a bookmark.
